What to expect in a session
The first time we meet I will guide you through a process that invites you to explore your inner world and explore your bodily felt sense of your lived experience. It can be helpful to begin with a specific issue and I will support you in coming alongside and being curious about any feelings, senses or 'somethings' that arise in order to move towards greater clarity and understanding. By learning, exploring and experiencing this process you will come into a new compassionate relationship with yourself and all that you feel. Focusing is often deep, surprising and profound! When you open a door to your inner world, wisdom can be found in the shadows. |
"I just get a feeling...."
You know that feeling when you walk into a room and something doesn't feel quite right? Or that feeling in your body when you're with someone you really love? Or when you need to make a decision and you instinctively know what is the right or wrong thing to do but you can't quite explain why? All of these are your body's 'felt senses' before your mind gets involved. When you stop and listen, and start to really explore this 'bodily knowing', in all different aspects of your life, you start to have a whole new understanding and insight into yourself and your life. I find it brings a feeling of spaciousness and compassion for myself and for others, and with that comes change. |
'Your physically felt body is, in fact, part of a gigantic system of here and other places, now and other times, you and other people, in fact the whole universe. This sense of being bodily alive in a vast system is the body as it is felt from inside'

How Actually AM I?
I also combine Focusing with creative mark making, giving the body another language to express itself. When we let go of the need to make beautiful images the body is free to really show us how it feels and what it needs to move towards wellness, the results are often surprising! You can find some images that have arisen here: www.instagram.com/images_of_presence/ Please contact me for more details and the next course dates. 07977 426 284 [email protected] |
